Can you believe that it’s already the end of the week? Time flies when you’re having fun, as the saying goes. Have a lovely weekend, everybody.
The Groove Warriors, a group made up of some of London’s finest funk players, will be playing a gig this Friday night at the Telegraph Country Pub in Putney Heath. The show will start at 8pm, so don’t be late! You can also enjoy some delicious pub food and range of beers and ales.
London Wetland Centre
Enjoy a night safari at the London Wetland Centre tonight from 6.45pm. Bring along your children or younger siblings, who will be sure to love the pond-dipping, story-telling and exploration after dark. Tickets cost £20.00 per child.
The Windmill Market takes place on the second Saturday of every month – this Saturday, you can find the market at St Mark’s Church in Wimbledon. This boutique artisan market will run from 10am to 2pm, and entry costs £1 per adult, with over 60’s and under-16’s free of charge. There will be delicious local food on sale, in addition to a variety of crafts.
The Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability will be hosting a 5 km and 10km Fun Run tomorrow at the Wimbledon Common. The hospital, based in Putney, is hoping to get 500 runners to participate, in order to raise awareness and funds. The race will begin at 10am, and the route is rather scenic, so if you’re feeling fit, do go along and support a great cause.
There will be a car boot sale at the Queen Mary Hospital in Roehampton Lane this Saturday from 8am to 12.30pm, with all proceeds going to charity.
Fulham Palace will be hosting a museum drop-in afternoon this Sunday from 2pm to 3.30pm. This free event is open to adults and children alike, and visitors will have the chance to examine artefacts, try on Georgian costumes and learn about the history of the Palace.
