Happy Friday, everybody. With the Premier League kicking off on Saturday, and plenty of festivals taking place around London, you’re certainly set for an entertaining weekend!
Morden Hall Park
Morden Hall Park will be holding a special workshop for children this Saturday, entitled “Introduction to Honey and Beekeeping”. The workshop, geared for those over the age of six, will run from 10.30am to 11.30am.
New Wimbledon Theatre
If you have children to entertain these holidays, then you should definitely take them to “Mickey’s Rockin Roadshow”, featuring all your favourite Disney characters! There are shows running on both Saturday and Sunday - take a look at their website for more information.
Half Moon Putney
A fan of the Rolling Stones? Tonight and tomorrow night, the Half Moon will be hosting a tribute band, “The Rollin’ Stoned”, who will be performing many of the original band’s hits from 1964 – 1969. The real Rolling Stones even booked the tribute band for their birthday, so you know you’re in for a fantastic performance. Performances begin at 8pm on both nights.
The Mums on the Go Summer Fair 2013 will take place this weekend from 11am to 4pm, at the Piazza in Wimbledon Town Centre. The fair will showcase local family-friendly businesses, and will host a range of craft, arts and food stalls. There will also be fairground attractions, face-painters and a variety of entertainment for the whole family. The event is in aid of Shooting Star CHASE, a children’s hospice service, so do go along and show your support.
