It’s the beginning of a new month! Here’s to a fantastic November. We hope you all have a great weekend – here’s our handy events guide if you’re looking for ways to spend your time.

Bishops Park & Ravenscourt Park

The Hammersmith & Fulham Council’s firework festivities will be taking place this Friday night at Bishops Park, and on Saturday night at Ravenscourt Park. This year’s fireworks theme is “Superheroes”, and there will be plenty of fun to be had! Gates open at 6pm, with the children’s fireworks beginning at 7.15pm. The main fireworks display, which will be set to music, is scheduled to start at 8pm both nights. There will also be food stalls and fun fair activities. Nobody will be allowed entry after 7.45pm, so don’t be late!

Hammersmith Apollo

English electronic duo Goldfrapp will be performing at the Hammersmith Apollo tonight at 7pm. Goldfrapp just released their sixth album in September, and this is the last stop on their “Tales of Us” music tour.

Fulham Palace

Fulham Palace will be hosting an introduction to calligraphy workshop run by the South London Lettering Association. The workshop will take place on Saturday, from 10am to 3pm. Booking is essential.

Westfield London

Westfield shopping centre in Shepherds Bush is currently celebrating their 5th birthday. This weekend, shoppers can enjoy a number of special offers, exclusive products and fun events, including live music, refreshments and free product samples.

London Corinthian Sailing Club

The London Corinthian Sailing Club, based in Hammersmith, will be holding an open-day this Saturday from 11am to 3pm. Anyone interested in finding out about competitive and recreational sailing in London is more than welcome to stop by! The club will also be hosting the 2013 Nationals for the Rooster 8.1 sailing races – spectators are invited to come and watch from the towpath and enjoy the hospitality of the clubhouse.
