It’s Friday and Christmas is almost upon us! Douglas and Gordon hope you have a very jolly weekend ahead.

 

The Lost Theatre

In a world where the average attention span is shortening by the day, the Lost Theatre brings you an event that challenges companies to give a whirlwind performance in just 5 minutes. Join in the fun and watch some of London’s up and coming directors, screenwriters and actors go head to head in the ‘Five Minute Festival’. Tickets cost £5 and doors open 7.30pm.

 

The Landor Theatre

The timeless Christmas musical, Meet Me in St Louis, is on at the Landor Theatre this weekend. Based on the 1944 film starring Judy Garland, this classic Broadway show is making its UK premier almost 70 years after the movie was originally released in theatres.

 

Christmas on Clapham Common

This weekend, enjoy a family stroll through Clapham Common as your browse the many stalls on display at this year’s Christmas Market. From 10am until 8pm crafts, clothing, gifts and festive treats will all be on offer. For a midday rest you can also visit the food area in the centre of it all, serving warm dishes and mulled wine. 

 

Carols by Candlelight – Ascension

A carols service by candlelight will be taking place at Ascension Church on Balham Hill this Sunday. The service starts at 6pm and will take place indoors. Candles will be provided and all are welcome.

 

Blackshaw’s Kitsch Christmas Party 

Grab your worst Christmas jumper to take part in Blackshaw’s annual Kitsch Christmas Party this Saturday. The party will include music, live comedy, party games as well as a visit from Father Christmas. Doors open at 7pm and tickets cost £3.
