Battersea Manager Tamzin tells us what makes Northcote Road a go to destination

Between the Commons, and Northcote Road is more than meets the eye….frequently referred to as “Nappy Valley” this fashionable mini Kings Road offers more than just prams, fabulous state and private primary schools, namely Honeywell, Belleville, Thomas’, Newton Prep and Broomwood Hall, great cafes and al fresco lunches, a fresh fish store, a cheese shop, great local butchers, an array of children’s clothes shops, Farrow and Ball and Fired Earth, and of course numerous estate agents,  All of which on a day to day basis create the feeling of belonging to a community. But this made me think  about the perception of Northcote Road…... So what really happens when the sun goes down…..!The pavements fill with young trendy professionals, men with their ties off and women in their  flats straight off the trains at Clapham Junction,  Europes biggest Junction with links across the whole of the UK and a fastrack route to Gatwick airport;  who hit the happy hours at Northcote Records, Babel, Powder Keg, The Bank and All bar One. If a pit stop needs to be made for supper, there are so many options, The Bolingbroke,  Cote Bistro, Numero Uno, Bryon Burgers, or a spicy Bun ga Hue at Pho the choices are endless, but our favourite at D&G is definitely Dip and Flip, amazing burgers with chips and gravy. Alternatively if home cooking is your forte you have the choice of Waitrose, Tescos, Marks and Spencers and Whole Foods, to choose from. So what more could a young  professional, couple or family want when searching for a home, great transport, and a fabulous nightlife on the doorstep and amazing shops. This small road in SW11 has it all.
