At Douglas & Gordon our East Putney Estate Agents understand the charm and hidden opportunities of the local areas they operate in. The sales and letting agents in East Putney work closely with our offices across central, west and south-west London to always ensure they achieve the best possible result.

The area south of Putney Bridge is catching up with the traditionally more popular surrounding neighbourhoods. With country style living within easy reach of central London, East Putney is one of Douglas & Gordon’s most up-and-coming areas. Carry on reading to see what our East Putney estate agents love about the local area.

Rise in the East. Historically cheaper than West Putney, Clapham or Battersea - East Putney property is on the rise. The East Putney Grid offers value for money, whilst being well-situated for the shops, cinemas and restaurants of Putney High Street, leading onto Putney Hill, and excellent Underground and Mainline connections (15 minutes to Waterloo).

Wandsworth Park. One of only two Grade II listed parks within the vast borough of Wandsworth. Wandsworth Park offers delightful open space for local families, as well as the popular attraction Putt in the Park. Putney Heath is also nearby, which boasts a charming village atmosphere and stunning Victorian houses.

Riverside living. Putney’s exclusive riverside flats appeal to young professionals looking for a lock-up-and-leave lifestyle, and vibrant local nightlife. Notable luxury developments include the popular Putney Wharf Tower and the historic Ram Brewery - which is currently being redeveloped into new homes, shops, bars and restaurants, and even a brewing museum.

Eating, drinking and shopping. Putney has an eclectic mix of restaurants and pubs offering something for all tastes. Foodies will enjoy the area’s specialist supermarkets, as well as the local Sainsbury's and Waitrose. A few of our favourite haunts include Valentina Spuntino Bar and Popeseye Steak House on Upper Richmond Road, and the local pub The Coat and Badge.

East Putney culture. Artsy types will flock to the creative scene around Putney School of Art and Design (which offers classes for beginners). Live-music fans can see gigs at the iconic Half Moon pub (The Who, U2 and The Rolling Stones have all played here). While fans of rowing will appreciate that Putney Bridge is the starting point for the famous Oxford v Cambridge Boat Race.
