1. Japandi - Ranked as the top trend for 2023 is Japandi, a mix of Japanese and Scandinavian styles. The interior trend combines minimalism and simplicity with wood, wicker and glass materials to create practical and effortless pieces.

2. Houseplants - The houseplant trend is here to stay, with this staple trend taking second place. Houseplants are an easy way to enhance any space, bringing some of the outside into your home. Not only do they look good, but they can also help boost creativity, reduce stress levels and improve air quality.

3. Royalcore - With shows such as The Crown and Bridgerton giving viewers plenty of royal inspiration, it's no surprise this trend takes third place. The royal core aesthetic uses luxury velvet, gold accents, intricate details and floral patterns, giving a space an opulent and regal feel.

Methodology: Used internet research to create a list of upcoming trends in 2023. Looked at global average monthly searches, and then their 3 month change and YoY change in order to see which were on the rise vs which had constant searches on Google Keyword Planner. Buzzsumo supply engagement and 'love' reactions for each trend. The last two metrics were the number of views on TikTok under the trend hashtag, and number of hashtags on Instagram with the trend.
