There are plenty of fantastic events taking place in the area this weekend, so wrap up warm and enjoy yourselves!

English National Opera

The English National Opera will be performing Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” at the London Coliseum until 3 December. The performance has been described as “Brimming with stunning theatricality and extraordinary imagination...” – so don’t miss out on what promises to be a magical show! This weekend, you can catch a performance at 6.30pm on Saturday.

Royal Horticultural Halls

London's first ever luxury mother, baby and family show, Plusher, will take place this Saturday at the Royal Horticultural Halls, from 11.30am to 5.30pm. A number of brands will be showcasing their exclusive wares and offerings, including toys, clothing, interior items and holidays. There will also be a number of activities to keep little ones entertained, including a pop-up photography studio, visits from children’s authors and a creative area.

Royal Opera House

The Royal Ballet will be putting on three productions, all beginning this Saturday. “Chroma”, “The Human Seasons” and “The Rite of Spring” will run until 23 November – if you’re a ballet fan, do book your tickets before they all sell out!

Regent Street

The Regent Street Christmas Lights will be switched on this Saturday, so come along and join in the festive atmosphere! The lights will be switched on by Emmy award winning actor Ty Burrell, along with Hollywood film director Tim Minkoff. Entertainment will be provided by Spice Girls Melanie C and Emma Bunton, as well as Gabrielle, Leona Lewis, Passenger and Eliza Doolittle. There will also be a fashion show taking place at 3pm.

The Lord Mayor’s Show

The 2013 Lord Mayor's Show will take place on Saturday at 11am, and will be followed by the Lord Mayor's Fireworks at 5pm, between Waterloo and Blackfriars bridges. The Lord Mayor's Flotilla will begin at 8.30am from close to Westminster Bridge, and will travel downriver to pass through Tower Bridge at 9.25am.
