Can you believe it’s already the beginning of November? The festive season is almost upon us! Have a great weekend, everyone.

Fulham Palace

Fulham Palace will be hosting an introduction to calligraphy workshop run by the South London Lettering Association. The workshop will take place on Saturday, from 10am to 3pm. Booking is essential.

Bishops Park

The Hammersmith & Fulham Council’s firework festivities will be taking place this Friday night at Bishops Park. This year’s fireworks theme is “Superheroes”, and there will be plenty of fun to be had! Gates open at 6pm, with the children’s fireworks beginning at 7.15pm. The main fireworks display, which will be set to music, is scheduled to start at 8pm. There will also be food stalls and fun fair activities. Nobody will be allowed entry after 7.45pm, so don’t be late!

Richmond Athletic Ground

The Richmond Family Fireworks Display will take place this Sunday evening at the Richmond Athletic Ground. Gates open at 4.30pm, entertainment begins at 5pm, and the fireworks display will be at 7pm. 2013’s fireworks display theme is “The Best of the Beatles”. The Poppy Factory is the official charity for the evening, and will benefit from the proceeds raised.

Morden Park

There will also be a fireworks display in Morden Park this Saturday, if you feel like venturing further afield. Gates open at 5.15pm, the first fireworks display will be at 6.45pm, and the second display will take place at 8.30pm. There will be food stalls, refreshments and fun fair activities, which will be open until 10pm.

St Mary’s Church

Cards for Good Causes will be opening a pop-up shop today at St Mary’s Church, located on Putney High Street. The pop-up shop will run until 18 December, and is open from 10am to 5pm. Cards for Good Causes pays participating charities at least 70p for every pound from their card sales.

Richmond Literature Festival
