Many London businesses could be set to enjoy a tourism legacy following the city's 2012 Olympic Games.That is according to the public relations firm Davies Tanner which believes that the event could leave the UK with a £3 billion tourism boost, of which £1 billion may be related to business.
Robert Wright, managing director of Davies Tanner, commented that London 2012 should welcome visitors by showing off the capital's rich heritage and culture.
He said: "London 2012 is going to be the best Games ever. I can say that with total confidence because I've seen how advanced we are.
"We have a very rich heritage in this country and we've got some of the best event organisers in the world."
The Mayor of London office recently launched an international marketing campaign to try and attract new visitors to the city, potentially boosting the prospects of firms with properties in Chelsea, Pimlico and other regions.
