Property news for Kensington, Chelsea and Pimlico | 30 Oct 2009
Kensington and Chelsea property owners are to be given the chance to share their views on what stock they would like to see in the borough's libraries through a number of events next month.Drop-in sessions at libraries such as Notting Hill Library and Kensal Library will provide people with the opportunity to talk to stock buying team members.
Kensington and Chelsea Council's education and libraries cabinet member James Husband believes that the events will allow local people to influence what stock libraries offer.
He said: "I encourage people to attend a session and make sure their interests are reflected in what our libraries buy."
According to the council, the borough's library services saw the introduction of roughly 34,000 new books in 2008.
It believes local residents can also benefit from the DVD and CD stock offered by the region's libraries.
Chelsea property owners will additionally be able to chat with Transport for London staff at a transport roadshow event next month.
